Founder, CEO & Co-owner
Arno Rayner founded Rayner Associates in 1977 after more than 20 years in the investment management industry, including positions at Bechtel and Industrial Indemnity. He has a BS in economics and an MBA, with a concentration in investments, from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Charles M. Haynor, CFA
President & Co-owner
Charlie Haynor has more than 15 years of experience in the investment management industry. He joined Rayner Associates as an analyst in 1990 and is now a co-owner of Rayner & Haynor. He has a BA in physics and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Vice President
Hugh Ogilvie has amassed more than 20 years of experience building portfolios of stocks, bonds, funds, real estate, and alternatives that meet the diverse needs of individuals and institutions. He has a BA in economics from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Vice President
David Flowers focuses on portfolio management, trading, and securities research for Rayner & Haynor, and is a member of the firm’s investment committee. He has 11 years of industry experience and a BS degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Christopher J. Pon
Portfolio Administrator
Chris Pon joined Rayner & Haynor to focus on portfolio reconciliation, reports, and trades. He brings experience from Union Bank of California, where he was regionally top-ranked in client service, record-keeping, and sales. Chris has a BA in mass communications from the University of California, Berkeley, and recently completed its professional program in personal financial planning.

Deborah L. Hunt
Office Administrator
Deborah Hunt spent more than 15 years as a court reporter before she joined Rayner & Haynor in 2001. Deborah runs the administrative side of the office, bringing to the team her extensive background in detailed legal work and interpersonal collaboration.

Administrative Assistant
Suze English joined Rayner & Haynor in 2004. Her prior experience included creative work for Macy’s and the Emporium in San Francisco, as well as eight years of graphic design and office work in Rome, Italy. She is fluent in Italian. |
