Charles M. Haynor, CFA

President & Co-owner

Charlie Haynor has more than 15 years of experience in the investment management industry. He joined Rayner Associates as an analyst in 1990 and is now co-owner of Rayner & Haynor.

Charlie brings strong analytical and quantitative skills to the research team and portfolio management process, with particularly strong expertise in the area of real estate planning. He has developed proprietary tools for analyzing clients’ real estate investments in the context of their overall portfolio and investment goals.

He is currently the President of the San Francisco Bond Club (2006-2007 year) and is a member of the Marin County Estate Planning Council and the CFA Society of San Francisco. He has spoken on various investment-related topics at the Central Marin Rotary, as well as to students at the University of California, Berkeley, and Redwood High School. He served for three years as treasurer of Food Runners, a nonprofit organization in San Francisco, and is on the executive board of the Marin Boy Scouts.

Charlie graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in physics. Accredited as a Chartered Financial Analyst, he also has an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business Evening MBA program. Charlie and his wife live in San Rafael with their son who was born in June of 2006.
